Chris Calabretta is the Global Procurement Lead for Biologic Materials and Vaccines. Chris has been with J&J for 24 years. In this role he is responsible for setting the category strategy, strategic sourcing and supplier management of the raw materials for global production of biologics and vaccines.

Chris’ career with J&J includes Distribution, Plant Management, New Product Launches, Supply Chain, and Strategic Sourcing. He began his career with McNeil Consumer Products in the Fort Washington, PA campus as a Distribution Supervisor and then as a Plant Projects Manager responsible for implementation of new product development, capital installations, and technical improvements. He moved to Johnson & Johnson / Merck Joint Venture to manage new product launches and to manage Supply and Demand Planning.

Chris’ career in Procurement began when he moved back into McNeil managing the Consulting, Capital and IT spends. He then moved into the Pharmaceutical side of J&J and assumed the World Wide Category Manager Role for Marketing Research. Chris then accepted the role of Vice President of the North American Pharmaceutical Procurement & the Global Marketing Procurement Category. In this senior role, he was responsible for the Commercial spend for the North American Pharma businesses and setting the strategy for Marketing Procurement across J&J on a global scope. This includes all Marketing Services, Agencies, Global Strategic Insights, Marketing Operations, Professional Education, Distributors and Consulting.

Chris received his BS from Penn State University and a Masters of Business from Villanova University. He is married to his wife, Louise and has three young sons, Christian, Braden and Andrew.
